Candy Filter is type of filtration equipment typically used before feeding the reaction mass into crystallizer through online micron filter. Candy filters could be battery of high pore size online filters, single filter or a fine filter cloth over a perforated basket.

These filters are a kind of pre-filtration setup to avoid loading on online micron filter.
