Capping Presses:

The world renowned capping press forms skirted and recessed closures from reels of aluminium foil and transports them via a delivery chute and applies them to a variety of bottles and containers at speeds upto 1000 per minute.
With the addition of a new Concept press, Fords offer a full range of machines custom-built to suit a wide range of applications and speeds.
FS Series Capping Presses:
The FS series has long been the world’s leading design for high speed demanding applications. The fully automatic FS series is designed to provide virtually operator-free production utilising the latest foil guidance and foil change assemblies.
The development of servo-driven foil feeding systems provides the highest speeds in the industry, higher efficiency and reduced costs.
The range includes single, twin or triple tool formats for various closures upto 150mm in diameter, and speeds in excess of 700 containers per minute.
Designed for the rigours of the harsh dairy environments the Fords High Speed FS series has maintained its position at the forefront of the industry through continuous innovation.

Innovative Closures:
MD Series Capping Presses:
The MD series offers the usual Fords quality but at a lower price.
Without some of the automated features associated with the servo-driven machines, the motor-driven MD series requires more operator intervention, but should be ideal for some of the less demanding applications.
Available in single, twin and triple tool formats at speeds upto 300BPM.
Since its’ initial launch in 1998, more than 70 MD series presses have been supplied worldwide, underlining the popularity of this compact design.
The MD series now has the option of the following advanced features:
- Oil-free tool unit
- Manual foil change
- Dry foil tooling for hygienic production
- Cap sterilisation systems
- Custom chute designs
- Variable speed drives
