American Alloy Fabricators, Inc.

Stainless Steel Reactor (SSR)
Product Description

Jacketed Reactors:
  • ASME code reactors
  • Licensed up to 3000 psi
  • Half-pipe, dimpled & conventional
  • Agitated, mechanical & magnetic
American Alloy Fabricators, Inc. is an ASME Code Facility fabricating various styles of jacketed reactors. We will design, fabricate, inspect, and stamp per Section VIII, Division 1 of the ASME Code.
All of our reactors are fabricated from various grades of Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, and other alloys.
American Alloy Fabricators has the ability to offer different levels of mechanical and electropolishing on the interior of your reactor. We can mechanically polish to an 8 Ra finish and electropolish to 4 Ra finish.

Half-Pipe Jacketed Reactors:

Half-pipe jacketing provides very good heat transfer by allowing high flow rates. It is best suited for high temperatures and pressure applications utilizing hot oil or other high temperature media. Our half-pipe is formed from a continuous coil and is "wrapped" around the vessel exterior in single or multiple zones to provide greater latitude for your process capabilities. American Alloy Fabricators, Inc. uses a 180 degree half-pipe configuration that minimizes pressure and increases fluid velocity.

Dimple Jacketed Reactors:

Dimple jacketing provides good heat transfer with low flow rates at lower pressures and temperatures. It is best used with steam for heating or chilled water for cooling. We roll the dimpled jacket to the vessel radius and then "plug weld" the individual dimples to the vessel. This allows for a secure fit.

Conventional Jacketed Reactors:

Also known as open jacket, conventional jacketing is a secondary external shell wrapped around the primary vessel to provide a space for heat transfer fluids. American Alloy Fabricators adds a spiral formed internal baffle to direct the heating media around the vessel from the inlet to the out.
