Containment Solutions:
- Fabtech has capabilities to design and validate systems which can operate under positive or / and negative pressure conditions. Isolation Systems find application in pharmaceutical, biotech, nuclear and semi-conductor industry, as well as bio-safety labs and R & D facilities.
- Fabtech follows stringent validation protocols which includes DQ/IQ documentation, FAT/SAT testing, raw material certifications, in-process test certifications, instrument calibrations etc.
- In FY07, the company in association with Dr. Douglas Thorogood & Associates of U.K. developed Isolation / Containment Systems for handling potent / hazardous substances, biological materials, vaccine Development, elements involving radiation, nuclear materials etc by creating an efficient barrier system of a defined volume.
- By FY09, the company has successfully sold about 21 Isolation Systems to large pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies such as Sandoz, Strides, Dr. Reddy’s and Panacea Biotech. It is the only company in India to successfully validated both positive and negative Isolation Systems at Dr. Reddy’s and Panacea Biotech.
- The company expects to achieve exponential growth in Isolation Systems over the next few years.
- Plans are to set up a new manufacturing unit near Mumbai to expand the capacity of Isolation systems, which is expected to start operations during FY11.
