SSP PVT LIMITED

Evaporator (Falling Film / Rising Film)
Product Description

Falling Film Evaporator:

Use of falling film evaporator with multiple effects ensures high energy efficiency & is ideal for concentration of heat sensitive products, with low scaling tendency. Multi-effect falling film evaporator with TVR as well as MVR are designed and manufactured at SSP`s manufacturing centres.

Applications:
  • Milk
  • Coffee
  • Soy milk
  • Apple Juice
  • Tea extract
  • Dye intermediates
  • Distillery Waste Water Effluent with low TSS, etc.
Forced Circulation Evaporator:

This is ideal for concentration of high viscous material and products with higher solids. This is also used as evaporative crystallizer. Some times these are used in series with falling film evaporator as finishing effect for achieving higher concentration. In this type of evaporator, liquid is pumped through heat exchanger tubes at high velocity (1.5-4.0 m/s) avoiding precipitation and creating high turbulence; liquid is then passed through vapour separator for separation of vapour and finally condensing the vapour in the condenser. Concentrated liquid is continuously discharged from bottom of vapour separator.

Applications:
  • Brine evaporation (Vacuum Salt processing)
  • Effluent concentration with High suspended solid.
  • Fruits Pulp Concentration
  • Tomato Paste
  • Sodium Sulphate Crystallization.
Rising Film Evaporator:

In a Rising Film Evaporator liquid feed enters from the bottom of steam heated tubes. The parallel movement of liquid and vapor along tube surface imparts effective water evaporation from the liquid feed. This type of evaporator is ideal for liquids which attain high viscosity or have fouling tendency.

Applications:
  • Fruit Juice concentration.
  • Sugar Cane Juice Concentration.

Agitated Thin Film Evaporator:

The agitated thin film evaporator is well suited for concentration of viscous and heat sensitive liquids such as gelatin, antibiotics, fruit juices, and solvent mix etc. The thin film evaporator reduces fouling and liquid residence time in the evaporator. In the vertical agitated thin film evaporator feed liquid is feed at the top of evaporator and is uniformly distributed in the form of thin film by the wiper blades on vertical cylindrical heat transfer area, inside the unit. Evaporation of water / solvent takes place as the thin film moves down the heat transfer area.

Scrapped Surface / Thin Film Evaporator:

Scrapped Surface/Thin Film Evaporator are designed for evaporation of highly viscous and sticky products, which cannot be otherwise evaporated. This type of evaporators have been specially designed to provide high degree of agitation, effecting heat transfer as well as scrapping the walls of the evaporator to prevent deposition and subsequent charring of the product.

Applications:
  • Tomato Paste
  • Honey
  • Solvent Recovery
  • Milk concentrate (Khoa)
  • Jam/Jelly.
Expansion of Evaporator:

SSP is capable of not only designing new evaporators but also enhancing the capacity of the existing ones. This results in improved operating conditions, increased capacity, lower specific steam consumption and saving in capital investment as well as operating cost. The capacity is enhanced by adding effects, thermo-compressors, etc. as the case may be.

About Us:

HISTORY:

The story of SSP began on 29th August 1977. At the time of inception SSP started manufacturing S.S.Pipes & fittings for dairy industry & then started manufacturing dairy equipments like S.S. tanks, silos, ghee boiler, butter churner etc. However SSP got an opportunity to expand the existing evaporators & spray dryers in 1980.

In the year 1982, the first production Unit of SSP PVT LIMITED was established . Since then, SSP successfully expanded the existing evaporator & Dryer capacity in more than 40 plants including Amul Dairy at Anand. During this period SSP developed indigenous falling film evaporators & spray dryers for dairy Industry.

In the year 1987, R & D centre was established & it got recognized by DSIR (Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India) & started designing new Evaporators & Dryers with better energy efficiency rate.

Thus Evaporator & Spray Dryer became the core competency of SSP, supported by the relentless work of our R & D personnel to improve the existing system .

With its core competency on evaporation & drying technology, SSP had mastered the technical expertise that enabled it to offer diverse food, fruit & Dairy processing projects on turnkey basis, catering to a wide range of industries Which include salt processing plant - both vacuum & mechanical type, plants for processing milk, milk powder (WMP & SMP), sweetened condensed milk, coffee creamer, baby food formulation, instant tea/coffee powder , egg powder, malt extract, fruit processing, fruit juice concentrate & powder, Tomato Paste, Ketchup, Puree, vegetable dehydration, and starch & starch derivatives, among others.

In 1994, SSP started its 2nd production unit at Butibori, Nagpur to meet the demand of its equipments . In the year 1995, SSP for the first time exported an Evaporator for milk concentrate to Cyprus. Looking at the demand of the export market, SSP established an 100% export oriented manufacturing facility at National Export Processing Zone (NEPZ), Noida, in the year 2004.

In the span of 32 years, “SSP” had exported its projects to African region, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, Latin American region, European and American region, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region, South East Asian region and Middle East region. SSP has exported number of plants to the following countries, USA, Canada, Mexico, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Denmark, Uganda, Chad, Malaysia, Philippines and South Africa. It has an International Agent Network across the world.

During the year 1997, SSP PVT LIMITED, took the challenge to develop distillery effluent treatment systems for reducing industrial effluent, which constitutes very high BOD, COD & TDS level. It took a year to develop a Zero Liquid Discharge Effluent Treatment System by which the Effluent can be treated & can be converted into a Zero Liquid Level, as per the Pollution Control Board norms, The condensate water recovered after treatment can be reused in the process & spray dried powder can be used as fertilizer.

In the year 1998, SSP for the first time supplied an Zero Liquid Discharge Effluent Treatment Plant for treating pharmaceutical effluent . It was a pioneering effort.

There after SSP started manufacturing & supplying Zero Liquid Discharge Effluent Treatment Plant to various industries, which include Distilleries, Textile Dyeing Industries, Chemical Industries, Paper Industries, Tannery Industries, Pharmaceutical industries & Dye & Dye intermediaries Industry.

Due to the increasing market demand, SSP PVT LIMITED, established another production facility to cater the industrial need of the clients. In the year 2007 the fourth manufacturing facility with the latest generation machines was established in Sitarganj, Uttaranchal.

During 2009 a new state of the art R & D facility was developed, with latest generation equipment & modern facilities. During this period the largest production unit came up at Chandpur, Faridabad. Now they are the renowned name for spray nozzle, atomizer, homogenizer, centrifuges, cream separators, packing machine, blow through valve, diversion valve, high pressure pump, centrifugal pumps, axial flow, gear pump, ss pipes & fittings

Due to the increasing demand from the Coffee Industry, SSP PVT LIMITED, as part of the new product development initiative, developed a Freeze Dryer recently.
